The Houses of the Archetypical Wheel
4.1 Houses 1-6
1st HOUSE – Who am I? (Fire)
- Tarot position would be ‘how others see you’
- Your Identity, what you are using to build your identity
- What you show to the world
- “There are certain things the soul puts up with when it enters this world…” like, parents, physical limitations (the body) geography (the place you were born)
- The energy you run on in the physical world
- What your ego latches onto to give you importance or make you someone in the world.
2nd HOUSE – What do I have? (Earth)
- 2nd chakra, gateway to the underworld
- What do I have that I can offer the world
- What is “worth” me investing my time. This is why its the money house
- This house is totally dependent on your self-esteem. Compulsive buying can arise here
3rd HOUSE – What is that? (Air)
- Where we enter into relationship with the world around us. Engaging with the world outside of the self.
- How you understand and perceive the world. How you first interpret the world. Your filter.
- “How I perceive the world and engage it.”
- “I think, therefor I am” – Descart
4th HOUSE – What is my experience of home? (Water)
- Family of origin. Part of you personal history. Insecurity.
- The way you find Home within yourself and in the world.
- What do I need to experience to feel Home?
- The archetype here will call you home.
- Tarot position is “what lies beneath”
- What archetype will help me feel safe?
- The house of hidden treasure.
5th HOUSE – Here I am!
- Where you offer yourself to the world with open arms, creativity, openheartedness
- Getting dressed up and putting on your make-up, “Wow that was a great day!”
- Is your ‘light’ out and engaged in what you are doing
- Your ability to be in love with the world
- House of children because the easiest thing to love is our own children. When we are unable to, we experience excruciating pain.
- We do it because it make our heart sing!
6th HOUSE – What needs to be done?
- What do I need to do to keep things in order.
- What needs to be done to keep the system going. For you or for someone else.
- House of service. ‘What do I serve.’ We all serve someone or something.
- The animals we keep. They take care of us and we take care of them.
- Taking the needs of the system into account. If not, illness will come into play.
- Your ‘job’ not your ‘career’
4.2 Houses 7-12
7th House – Who art though?
- The house of relationships
- More than “hi, how are you, what’s your name”…
- Archetype in this house is the one you’re going to look at relationship through
- “You are the one who will make my world turn around. The one who will save me”
- How do I lose myself in relationship?
- We have trouble owning this house because its about yourself, not others.
8th House – What have you got that I want?
- This is a house of power and is a house where you give your power away.
- Where you give away something of great value to yourself, in order to get what you think you need, but you in-fact already have!
- It’s the dark side of relationship
- Taxes, banker… what you would do to get out of trouble
- Where you get “seduced”
- The archetype in this house will lead you into these situations
9th House – Where you meet the Divine
- The aspiration to that which is highest in yourself
- You meet the divine… Your relationship with God
- What do I bring into my relationship with God
- What is your ethical value
10th House – That which gets you to stand tall
- I am in touch with “I am here”
- I am on track… This is what I’m meant to be doing
- This is not out in the future, it is your highest potential in the moment in order to create the future
- The “Peak Experience” It’s not negotiable
- How you emerge into connection with the world around you
- To whom do I give authority over my life? It is not a person.
- The archetype in this house will put you in contact with the system or rules in your life
- This is the top of the mountain!
- Not “this needs to be done”, but “this is the work that must be done” (to reach my highest potential
- “Its the only way to become who you are meant to be”
11th House – Where we feel we are not separate from other people
- Where we don’t do things just for ourselves
- It adds to the collective
- For example fighting for civil rights
- Wanting to share things with other people selflessly
- House of good Karma
12th House – The house of the collective unconscious
- The house of self-undoing
- You cannot understand this house with the rational mind. It is outside of space and time.
- The dark angel
- A place of great suffering and loss, but also a place of great miracles.
- This house is beyond reason
- The archetype that resides here can lead you to the miraculous.
- At its best this is a place of Grace.
